Privacy Notice

Last updated: 26 July 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Agvara ("Agvara Australia", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use the Agvara platform (the "Service"). Agvara is the data controller responsible for personal information collected through the Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, login credentials, and (optionally) display name and farm name.
  • Farm and operational data you enter — paddocks, machinery, livestock, inventory, rainfall records, service logs, chat messages, and similar operational content.
  • Integration data — where you choose to connect a third-party service (for example John Deere Operations Center), we receive the data that service returns to us (e.g. machine hours, location, field boundaries).
  • Support communications — messages you send us and metadata about those interactions.
  • Usage and device data — IP address, browser and device identifiers, pages viewed, and diagnostic/telemetry information.
  • Location — approximate location derived from your browser (only when you grant permission) to show local weather.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate and maintain the Service, including your account;
  • To sync data from and to third-party integrations you enable;
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • To improve the Service, including analytics and diagnostics;
  • To send transactional messages (billing, security, service notices); and
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service to you), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), your consent (where we ask for it, e.g. optional integrations or location), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Who we share your information with

  • Service providers and subprocessors — including our hosting, database and infrastructure providers, analytics tooling, and customer support tooling, who process personal information on our behalf under contract.
  • Payments (Merchant of Record) — Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as Merchant of Record for all subscription orders and handles payment, subscription management, invoicing and tax compliance. When you subscribe, Paddle collects and processes the personal and payment information required to complete your purchase. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
  • Third-party integrations you enable — for example John Deere Operations Center, when you connect your account, or the Google Maps API for location and weather features.
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit advisers where reasonably needed.
  • Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety and property.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and operational data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and operational obligations. When information is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it. You can export or delete your data on request.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through in-app support. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers may process personal information outside your country. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) where applicable.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to run the Service (for example to keep you signed in) and, where applicable, limited analytics cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect functionality.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.

12. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact Agvara through the in-app support chat.
